Guest Designer at The Butterfly Challenge

Hi everyone I was lucky enough to win a challenge at The Butterfly Challenge, and Mrs. A has asked me to be a Guest Designer for her challenge this week. So Lucky! I love her challenge because you always have to incorporate a butterfly somewhere on your project. I love using butterflies, so I try to play along with her challenge as much as I can. The theme for the challenge this week is Butterflies and T is for Talisman. Talisman =  a species of charm engraved on metal or stone to which wonderful effects are ascribed. For my project you will notice that I have used a butterfly charm!

Here is my creation for this weeks challenge. I decided to make a Birthday card for one of my Crafty Peeps! I just love my crafty peeps they are the best!  I went with a pop-up book card fold, and I followed a tutorial at Splitcoaststampers you will find the link here.  I used Time to Flourish cardstock by Graphic 45, Spellbinders dies Imperial Square, Labels 42, Classic Squares, a Stampin up stamp was used on the inside of the card, and VersaMagic chalk in Pretty Petunia was used around the edges.

Hi all I am now a proud member of the Design Team for Stamp n Doodle.  This weeks challenge is to create a card/project with the theme of Stitching-Real or Faux.  You do not have to use a Stamp n Doodle image, but if you do your entry will be counted twice, so you get double the amount of winning! Doily Card

Hi Everyone another fabulous day here in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  I just wanted to share this card that  I made to enter into the Cherry Lynn Designs Challenge this week.  The challenge is to make a card using a doily.

To make this card I used Cherry Lynn dies "Exotic Butterfly small", "Sunflower", "Small Lace Faerie Queen w/Angel Wing", "French Pastry Doily".  I also Spellbinder Dies "Doodle Parts", "Marvelous Squares", "Labels Twenty-Two" and "Standard Circles".  The stamped image is from Ching-Chou Kuiks Stamps "Come Softly".

Pastel Christmas Card

Hi Everyone I wanted to share with you the Christmas card I made using the colors from the JustRite challenge this week, the challenge is to make a card using pastel pink, yellow and blue.  This is a really hard combination for me to use as I tend to stay away from pastel colors when making a card, but I guess that's why it is a challenge.
 
For this card I used JustRite's background stamp "Snowfall".  I stamped this on white cardstock and embossed it using clear embossing powder and clear ink.  I then inked over it using Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  I layered the card using Spellbinder's "Marvelous Squares", "Classic Squares", and  "Ironwork Motifs". The ornament stamp and greeting is from JustRite's stamp set "Noel Christmas Ornaments".

Father's Day Card

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share with you the card I made for my wonderful Dad for Father's Day.

To make this card I used Justrite "Anchors Away" stamp set. Justrite "Nested Oval Medallion Labels" & "Vintage Label and Banner Dies". Spellbinders "A2 Filigree Delight" die.  The anchor and hook embellishments are from Embellish It.
